Care & Performance
- Washing: Machine wash at 40 °C or below with a mild, colour-safe detergent. Wash separately or with similar colours for the first few washes to prevent any minor dye transfer.
- Bleach & fabric softener: Do not bleach. Avoid fabric softeners — they coat cotton fibres and reduce absorbency over time. Use a small amount of white vinegar in the rinse cycle instead to keep fibres soft naturally.
- Drying: Tumble dry on a low-to-medium heat setting or hang to dry in a well-ventilated area. Remove promptly from the dryer to minimise creasing. Avoid drying in direct sunlight for extended periods, which can gradually yellow white cotton.
- Shrinkage: As with all 100% cotton towels, expect minor initial shrinkage (typically 3–5%) after the first wash. This is normal and will stabilise after a few washes.
- Softness over time: 550 GSM cotton towels often feel stiffer straight from the factory due to finishing agents. Absorbency and softness typically improve after the first 2–3 washes. Avoid overdrying, which can make fibres feel rough.
- Do not iron. Store dry in a cool, ventilated space to prevent mildew.
